MORE THAN 30 YEARS AGO
A Canadian endurance athlete, motivated by having collapsed at the end of a race due to lack of energy, took the challenge and started working on a product that would change the nutrition of athletes forever.
THE FIRST BAR
Born in 1986 the first bar weighed a proud 65 grams and was 12 cm “tall”.

In the years following 1986 ingredients were adapted, flavors optimized and (thankfully) aesthetic appeal improved. Setting a golden standard for decades to come.
TODAY
After a long hiatus when PowerBar was only available in Europe, PROthirteen is proud to be part of the community bringing it back to the U.S!
It is all made in Germany to the highest standards, including certification on the Cologne List for sport nutrition products.
While all the formulas, including the bar, use the latest science in energy delivery, the bar has kept the same consistency and taste as the original. Why mess with perfection?
